I thought since it sets matte that perhaps those with oily lids might see better performance. It was a little hit and miss though finding just the right eyeshadow formula to use with this primer as it was a little temperamental on my drier lids. I also felt like the primer pilled a good deal when I used shimmer shadows on top of it. I think it worked best with shadows that didn’t have a ton of shimmer as it seems to dull the finish of shimmer eyeshadows. I tried it with several different eyeshadow formulas and finishes and I got different results each time I used it. I also thought that Take On the Day did well with shimmer eyeshadows and intensified their appearance where as Photofocus kinda dulls them out a little bit. Take On the Day was a little creamier and easier to blend where as Photofocus has the same creamy consistency but sets to a more satiny matte finish which I felt pilled a little bit when I applied my eyeshadow on top.
